Significance of Bridal Jewellery for Indian Women

Hi every one....
Dressing up and looking the best on the D-day takes top priority for any bride, and jewellery forms a vital part of it. We are all familiar with the traditional jewellery pieces. But, did you know a nose ring or nath is, traditionally, representative of a bride’s virginity? In fact, each piece of jewellery that a bride wears symbolises something traditionally or culturally. Given the cultural diversity, the list of different pieces worn religiously or regionally would be a long one. We give you few of the significant ones.

THE BEST BANGS FOR YOUR FACE SHAPE

Hi everyone,

If you’ve been in the mood to SWITCH UP YOUR LOOK for fall, why not consider the ultimate hair update – bangs?  When done right, bangs can totally change your entire look; just make sure you are getting the most flattering ones for your face shape! Not sure if you should get blunt, straight-across, wispy or sideswept?  First, determine your face shape with MY GUIDE, then read my tips below:

1.) Oval: Ladies with oval faces can pretty much pull off any bang style, so have fun with it! Go straight across, choppy, long, short – the options are endless.  If you’re someone who likes to switch up your look often, try clip-on bangs.

2.) Square: Add some softness to your face with wispy, eyebrow-grazing bangs that go across your entire forehead.  Avoid anything too blunt, thick or harsh which will make your look more severe.

3.) Round: Sideswept and choppy is the way to go if you have a round face.  Part your hair on the side and blow dry your bangs with a round brush for a pretty fringe.  If you’re daring, you can also try blunt bangs à la Zooey Deschanel – just make sure they aren’t too short!

4.) Heart: If you’re considering bangs and you have a heart-shaped face, try sideswept, swooping bangs – they’ll accentuate your lovely cheekbones :) Or part your  bangs in the center to frame your forehead and draw attention to your eyes.

5.) Oblong: Layered, sideswept bangs will create the illusion of softer angles for those of you ladies with rectangular faces.  If you decide to get bangs that go straight across your forehead, blow dry them with a round brush towards the left or the right to give them dimension.

6.) Diamond: Soft, wispy and layered bangs will create the perfect frame for those of you with diamond-shaped faces.  Put a tiny bit of styling cream and run lightly through your bangs to give them textshaure for a messy model-off-duty look.

Remember, this is just a guide – in the end, you should get whatever style makes you feel the most beautiful and accentuates your gorgeous features!  ^_^

Would you ever get bangs? What style is your favorite? Share with me in the comments.
Love,
Aaisha..

Hottest hair trends for 2014...

Hi everyone.....
HAPPY NEW YEAR
The new year calls for new things. Why not try a fresh hairstyle too?

HERE ARE FEW OF THEM:
Windswept up-dos:

This look is both casual and dishevelled, yet oozes subtle glamour and charm. For those who are a fan of up-dos, it is recommended letting plenty of loose locks fall around the face, when pinning hair up.

Short hair and cropped pixie cuts:

Looking for a drastic change? Give yourself a cropped hair style. If you already have short hair, a great way to make cropped cut more exciting is to add layering. However, it is advised to always consider face shape and hair texture before making any dramatic change.

Braids:

For those ladies who are thinking about spring and summer of next year, they can start experimenting with braids. Popular ones include the braid crown, in which a thick braid is wrapped around the crown of the head and the fishtail braid intertwining with neutral coloured ribbons, creating a fun yet sleek and subtle twist.

FOR MEN...
Long hair:
Keeping hair long will give you a chance to create numerous styles as per your wish. Static buzz cuts are no longer on trend - long hair, which can be tousled, swept to the side or slicked back in a "Great Gatsby" style is in!

Accessorise:
Men can accessorise using a bandana. For those apprehensive, bandana is both masculine and casual and can work extremely well for men who are too lazy to style their hair.
Sharp fringes and varied lengths:
For an edgier look, a rise in the short, sharp fringe, is often carried well and emphasised when the sides and crown of the head are cut short. Not only is this a refreshing change but it also works well for those who wish to hide a receding hairline or simply keep their foreheads covered.
